This policy describes how Mark That Paper collects, uses and protects personal information. It applies to teachers who hold an account and to the student work they upload.
Account data: your email, name and billing status. Content data: the rubrics, student labels, uploaded PDFs and extracted text, and the marks and comments you create.
To provide the marking service: storing your classes and assessments, extracting text from PDFs, producing AI first-pass suggestions, and generating reports. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use student work to train AI models.
De-identified submission text is sent to Anthropic's Commercial API with Zero-Data-Retention solely to generate marking suggestions. See How we handle student data.
Data is stored with Supabase under row-level security. You can access, correct, export or delete your data from within the app, and deletion cascades to related records. Contact us to exercise any privacy right.
Anthropic, Supabase, Vercel and Stripe. See the trust page for details.
Student work may relate to minors. We act as the school's processor, minimise data, de-identify before AI processing, and support deletion.
Questions about this policy can be sent to the account owner's contact email.
This is plain-English product information, not legal advice. Final Privacy Policy, Terms and DPA are reviewed by a privacy lawyer for your region before any school agreement.
